The German Corner is a recurring campus event organized by faculty and students of the German Department within the School of Foreign Languages at Shenzhen Technology University. Aimed at all students, it has been held every two weeks since September 2017, with each session centering around a German-related theme such as German music, German cuisine, or German fashion. Each event features a German-speaking foreign teacher who engages with attendees, providing guidance and fostering dialogue. The objective is to establish a high-quality communication platform for German learners, offering themed situational dialogues, keynote speeches, and interactive games. By delving into diverse aspects of German culture beyond the classroom, participants gain insights into local customs, experience the allure of German language and culture, and are inspired to deepen their German language skills. With high levels of student engagement and vibrant event scenes, the German Corner has not only made a significant impact within the university but has also attracted attendees from other institutions and German enthusiasts across Shenzhen.
