The Center for Intercultural and Area Studies is established in September 2021 by the School of Foreign Languages at Shenzhen Technology University. It brings together professional research and teaching staff who have years of overseas study and research experience in the fields of intercultural studies, European studies, Australian studies, American studies, and African studies. The center holds various activities such as academic presentations, forums, lectures, salons, and seminars to promote academic exchange and intellectual dialogues, and it focuses on the study of international talents, overseas Chinese, studying abroad, immigration and development, as well as political, economic, social, literary, and cultural issues related to the European Union, Australia, the United States, Africa, and other regions and countries. It responds to domestic and international situation and aims to meet the demands of Guangdong-Hongkong-Macau Greater Bay Area and further provide corresponding decision-making reference for government, enterprises, and public institutions. The Center is not just a significant platform for research and academic exchange for staff and peers but also a vital base for cultivating undergraduate and graduate students' Chinese perspective, global horizons, and cross-cultural communication capability.
