Adopting the joint teaching mode of foreign and Chinese teachers, the program of German is dedicated to systematically cultivate students’ German language skills, which enables students, within four years of study, to achieve the level of GER (Der Gemeinsame Europaische Referenzrahmen, Common European Framework of Reference for languages) in terms of German language listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The graduates will obtain a high level of competence in German interpreting, translating, and intercultural communication. At the same time, with an emphasis on developing students’ capacity of practice, this program will take German for science and technology as its specialty feature in accordance with the schooling characteristics of Shenzhen Technology University and the regional advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The program will provide students with a cross-major and interdisciplinary curriculum in a planned way so as to optimize their knowledge structure. By enabling our graduates to “master many skills while specializing in one” and to “be versatile and professional at the same time”, this program will nurture talents who can meet the demands of the job market.
