    SZTU partners with 8 more universities

    Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) has recently signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with eight prestigious universities in Spain, Germany, the United States, Singapore, and other places. These collaborations will enhance SZTU’s international influence and propel its high-quality development. To date, the university has signed cooperation agreements with over 80 universities and institutions in more than 20 countries and regions globally, fostering rich exchanges and collaborations in talent development, faculty training, scientific research, and technology transfer.     01 EUNCET Business School, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya

    The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC) is a public institution of research and higher education in the fields of engineering, architecture, sciences and technology, one of the leading technical universities in Europe. Founded in 1981, the EUNCET Business School, affiliated to the UPC, offers multiple undergraduate and postgraduate programs in business administration, marketing and digital communication, business administration and strategic studies, among others. With over 15,000 students from around the world, 300 faculty members, and partnerships with over 500 companies, the school boasts a remarkable 98% employment rate for its graduates.

     

    This marks SZTU’s first collaboration with a Spanish university, establishing a partnership to foster academic and research exchanges and promoting cooperation in international academic conferences, scholar visits, student exchanges, and joint training programs.

     

    02 TU Dortmund University

    TU Dortmund University is one of Germany’s most renowned universities of science and engineering. Its disciplines, such as mechanical engineering with its emphasis on production and logistics, physics, biochemical and chemical engineering, statistics and computer science, as well as education research, are well known for their outstanding research achievements both nationally and internationally. The university has consistently been ranked as one of the top young universities globally according to QS and Times Higher Education (THE).

     

    SZTU will collaborate closely with the Department of Cultural Studies of TU Dortmund University, including student exchanges, research collaboration, and joint curriculum development.

     

    03 HTWG Konstanz University of Applied Sciences

    Founded in 1906, HTWG Konstanz University of Applied Sciences is a renowned German university of applied sciences. Since 2006, it has consistently been ranked among Germany’s top universities of applied sciences, with its business undergraduate program consistently ranking in the top 15 in Germany.

     

    The two universities will work together to promote the implementation of collaborative projects and foster shared educational resources.

     

    04 University of California, Irvine

    Founded in 1965, University of California, Irvine is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities and is ranked among the nation’s top 10 public universities by U.S. News & World Report. The campus has produced five Nobel laureates and is known for its academic achievement, premier research, innovation and anteater mascot. In 2023, it was ranked 32nd among the best universities in the United States by U.S. News.

     

    The two sides will focus on exploring cooperation in talent cultivation and academic research, including joint master’s and doctoral programs, semester exchange programs, and summer school programs.

     

    05 Saint Louis University

    Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is a prestigious American university with a history of 200 years, ranking 105th in the 2023 U.S. News Best Colleges. As a comprehensive research university, it offers 97 bachelor’s degree programs, 82 master’s degree programs, 44 doctoral programs, and 48 certificate programs. Currently, it has over 13,000 students, over 2,000 faculty members and 23 honorary professors.

     

    The two sides will collaborate extensively in joint teaching, research, and cultural activities, offering rich international education and research opportunities for faculty and students.

     

    06 The University of Texas at Austin

    Established in 1883, the University of Texas at Austin is one of the world’s top public research universities and is considered one of the “Public Ivies”. It offers 156 undergraduate programs, 237 postgraduate programs, and has over 50,000 students and 3,000 faculty members, including seven Nobel Prize winners, four Turing Award winners, 27 MacArthur Fellows, and six Pulitzer Prize winners.

     

    The collaboration between the two universities will enable more outstanding students from SZTU to study in the United States and access high-quality educational resources.

     

    07 Duke Kunshan University

    Duke Kunshan University is a world-class liberal arts university based in Kunshan, China, that offers a range of high quality, innovative academic programs for students from around the world. It was established in September 2013 as a U.S.-China partnership between Duke University and Wuhan University. It aims to build a world-class research-oriented university with a focus on liberal arts and sciences. The university offers English-taught programs with teaching teams mainly consisting of professors from Duke University and professors recruited globally. It combines the educational traditions of China and the United States, addressing the evolving global needs of higher education.

     

    The two parties will cooperate in faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, postgraduate education, etc. More cooperation models for high-level talent cultivation will be explored, laying a solid foundation for multi-channel exchanges and cooperation.

     

    08 The University of the Arts Singapore

    The University of the Arts Singapore (UAS) is Singapore’s first arts university nurturing a new generation of forward-looking artists, designers, educators, researchers, arts leaders and changemakers. UAS is founded on an alliance of Singapore’s leading arts institutions, LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE) and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). It is one of the best arts colleges in Asia, offering programs in fine arts, design, media, and performing arts. It is a non-profit educational institution funded by the Singapore government and the only arts university in Singapore that confers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts.

     

    The two universities will further refine their cooperation projects. It is anticipated that student exchange programs will commence as early as the summer of 2024, providing students with opportunities for mutual visits and exchanges.
