Shenzhen Technology University has since its foundation sustained the vision of internationalization and valuing international exchange and collaboration. In the autumn of 2019, SZTU signed a collaboration agreement with the delegation from Gyeongsang National University, Korea, led by Deputy Dean and Professor Kim Duk Hwan. Since then, the two universities have maintained a firm friendship. On 18 July 2021, the 2021 China-Korea Online Mandarin Course was officially launched. It is a new course specifically designed by SFL following the 2020 Winter Camp on Cantonese Culture and Online Cantonese Program for the Korean students. These courses, along with other programs have greatly contributed to SZTU’s internationalization process and expanded the students’ global horizon as well.

The two-week course, delivered in the form of “one-to-one” or “one-to-two”, namely, one Chinese student interacts with one or two Korean students, was focused on six topics: “My Hobbies,” “My Hometown,” “Festivals in China,” “Chinese Customs,” “Chinese Cuisine,” and “Celebrities in China”. All these topics have attracted the Korean students’ participation and led both sides to deeper discussions. The classes incorporated elements such as lecturing, PowerPoint presentation, images and videos, and Q&A sections, which made the sessions vivid and life-like.
