SZTU 2019 International Week kicks off

On September 22, more than 40 international experts and 10 students from Germany and Switzerland came to Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU), who are happy to attend SZTU 2019 International Week. Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, gave a warm welcome to all the German and Swiss friends at the welcome dinner. Prof. Xu Gang, vice president of SZTU, deans of various colleges and department heads attended the dinner.

Prof. Ruan said that the SZTU never stops learning from the first-class universities of applied sciences in Germany and Switzerland. The rapid development of SZTU fully reflects the “Shenzhen speed” and “German quality”. He expressed sincere gratitude to the partner universities in Germany and Switzerland, which have given great support for the long-term cooperation with SZTU. He also hopes that SZTU will have more in-depth cooperation with partner universities that have participated in the 2019 International Week.

The international guests and SZTU students enjoyed the buffet in Chinese style together and talked freely in SZTU canteen. Everyone was excited and looked forward to the upcoming International Week.

As a distinguished guest, Prof. Robert Grebner, president of FHWS, was happy to attend the International Week. He was impressed by the efficiency of SZTU infrastructure construction as well as curriculum development. He believes that China needs an excellent university of applied sciences with Chinese characteristics, which will surely cultivate high-level application-oriented talents. He is optimistic about the future of SZTU. He said that he will actively promote the cooperation between FHWS and SZTU during the International Week.

SZTU will offer 42 courses to all SZTU students and international students during the International Week, all of the lecturers of which will be international professors.
